Nature, with all its beauty, grandeur, and diversity, invites us to reconnect with it at any time.

Friendship with Nature

The Association

Who We Are
Friendship with Nature is a nonprofit organization that invites children and young people to reconnect with nature with an open heart. We aim to create spaces where wonder, joy, and a sense of connection can flourish through vivid, moving experiences.

What Drives
Us Plant music is a special path for us. It can serve as a subtle bridge to perceiving plants in a new way: not merely as part of the environment, but as a living presence. Together with stories, creative projects, and direct experiences of nature, moments arise that touch the heart and allow a deep connection to grow.

What we are working toward
Our goal is to build a network of 99 schools across all continents. In this way, children worldwide will be able to experience how initial wonder turns into mindfulness, mindfulness into trust, and trust into a genuine friendship with nature—as a living foundation for a more conscious future.

TreeMuse

TreeMuse

With TreeMuse, plants can be experienced in a whole new way:
not just with the eyes, but also through sound and music.

The device was developed for use in schools and is intentionally easy to operate:
clear, intuitive, and free of complicated menus, so that attention can remain fully focused on the encounter with nature.

This opens up a vibrant gateway to the plant world, uniquely combining listening, wonder, and learning.

Children and adults experience firsthand how sound is created through contact with a plant.

The notes played are displayed both in standard musical notation and on a piano keyboard, making this experience musically vivid as well.

Rediscover nature – through the music of plants

Reconnecting with nature means more than simply spending time in it. It means slowing down, observing, listening more closely, and rediscovering that living reality that sustains, surrounds, and permeates us. In plants, trees, earth, light, and rhythm, we encounter not only biological diversity but also a deeper order of life—one that is now recognized even by biology and into which we ourselves are woven.

Plant music offers a special way to access this: subtle, audible vibrations from plants that can touch us in surprising ways. Perhaps this gives rise not only to sound, but also to a new form of listening—a quiet dialogue between humans and nature.

This is made possible by capturing a plant’s subtle electrical changes via sensors and translating them into sounds. In this way, a living process is made audible, bringing us closer to nature in a new, mindful way and inviting us to a deeper experience.
